Our Values
Nine values, set down when we founded Tylium in 2023. They say what we believe in and what we promise: what you can expect from us, and what everyone who works with us strives for.
Joyful Creativity
We have fun making software, and we want the people who use it to have fun too. Working is the minimum we owe them. We put in the extra effort so that what we build is intuitive, beautiful and a joy to use.
Tolerance
We treat everyone we deal with, inside the team and outside it, with dignity and as an equal, whatever their origin, beliefs, gender, sexuality or any other characteristic. At work, we look at a person's passion and skill; the rest of their life is their own. We ask the same respect of everyone, without exception.
Rationality
We decide by reasoning: we explain, we argue, we convince. Arguments settle questions here, never politics, authority or belief. We reject fallacies, manipulation and deception, in our own discussions and in the way we sell. You can be whoever you want here, as long as you speak the lingua franca of logic.
Originality
We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, so we study their work closely. Then we think past it. We don't follow a convention just because it is one: we do what we think is right, and we look for the fresh idea rather than the expected one.
Independence
Tylium grows on what its own work earns. We make money by creating; we don't create to make money. That keeps our course in our own hands. Our values set it. Investors, governments and the promise of a quicker profit do not.
Elegance
Elegance is in how things are built as much as in how they look. We aim for harmony and simplicity, in design and in code, and for solutions that last. No quick-and-dirty fixes that leave technical debt behind, no complexity for its own sake, no technology chosen for the thrill of it. We leave the code better than we found it.
Mastery
We aim high, and we know we can stand among the best. We keep learning, and we look beyond the task at hand. We work like a jazz band: a small group of strong players where everyone shapes the result. Each of us knows the theory and the standards inside out, and that is what lets us improvise.
Openness
We are a commercial company, and we still choose openness: open standards, open formats, open data and open APIs wherever they make sense. Your data stays yours, and you can always take it elsewhere. We never use technology to lock anyone in, and we build for interoperability.
Integrity
The people who use our software come first, in our design and in our business decisions. We don't spam, we don't push intrusive ads, we don't use manipulative design, and we never sell or misuse personal data. We don't hold software back artificially to make people pay more. It should empower them, never frustrate them.

Founder
Renaud Denis is a Software Creator with two decades of professional experience in materializing ideas into all sorts of applications and libraries.
He began his career as a full-stack software engineer in the medical and social sectors. His early projects included developing a medical record system for a hospital and software for managing home care services. Subsequently, he shifted gears to create financial software in the banking sector and a SaaS reporting tool tailored for businesses of all scopes and sizes.
Beyond computer science, Renaud nurtured a deep-rooted passion for science fiction, music, and graphic design since his youth.
Ultimately, this led him to establish Tylium, a software company where technology meets artistry, a company dedicated to crafting mesmerizing software for fellow creators globally.
